Thanks to the European Community and the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, the “Italian Wine and Style Promotion” (IW&SP) received a grant to fund the promotion of Italian wine in countries outside of the European Union.
The purpose of the IW&SP is to face the challenges of the market by combining the knowledge and experience gained by each winery participating in the project. The synergies created will allow even the smallest participating winery to break into new markets by leveraging the experience already gained by its larger partners in the IW&SP.
The project targets emerging markets, such as China and Russia, as well as the U.S. market, which has always been the main outlet for fine Italian wines.
The final objective is to create a permanent “wine list” to promote wines through innovative channels, to create a network of loyal distributors, to showcase the uniqueness of each winery through its products and terroir, and to create a wine and food tourism itinerary.
